ITF-TAO Nicaragua held their first National Championships and it was a huge success. The intense 2-day event hosted 80 competitors competing in patterns and sparring. A special thank you to Mr. Carlos Mendez, Mr. Caludio Oviedo, Tiffer Masaya and the Wing Sifu Martial Arts Academy of UCC for their support. Great work ITF-TAO Nicaragua!

As ITF-TAO Serbia prepares for our 2nd IIC with FGMR in March of 2014, they continue to grow and be successful promoting the Original Taekwon-Do of the Founder, General Choi Hong Hi. With regular color belt and black belt testing and the Annual Belgrade Cup, ITF-TAO Serbia has turned out to be a fantastic addition to our Taekwon-Do family!

ITF-TAO Nicaragua held a Ceramony this past weekend to present Black Belt certificates to the latest candidates and to introduce our newest member Mr. Walter Guzman. The event was held in a restaurant in Puerto Salvador Alende. Congratulations to the black belts who recieved new ranks and welcome to Mr. Guzman.

On Saturday November 16th, 120 students of all ages and belt levels gathered in Oakville for the Annual ITF-TAO Technical Seminar. Instructors and students from Morningstar TKD, Johnson's TKD, Oakridge TKD, Smith TKD and Chon-Ji Martial Arts participated in the 4-hour long training session that cover patterns, 3-step, 2-step and 1-step sparring as well as self-defence. An extra hour at the end was devoted to black belt patterns from Kwang-Gae to Tong-Il. The seminar was conducted by ITF-TAO Technical Director Mike Morningstar and assisted by 6th Dan Mr. Denis Alvey of Chon-Ji TKD.

Nineteen Oakridge Taekwon-Do students from white belt to green belt recently attempted and were successful in their quest for new ranks. The test was conducted by ITF-TAO Technical Director Mr. Mike Morningstar and assisted by Oakridge Taekwon-Do Head Instructor Mrs. Cathy Hadubiak. Congratulations on your promotions and good work promoting Taekwon-Do in the City of London.

Twenty plus members from Oakridge TKD and Morningstar Taekwon-Do recently participated in the Millennium Cup Friendship Tournament held in Brampton, Ontario. The tournnament was hosted by Mr. Sergio Plaja and the students of Millennium Taekwon-Do. The tournament was held on November 9th to commemerate the birthday of General Choi Hong Hi. There was also a video presentation to honour the founder.

The 4th Annual ITF-TAO Technical Seminar washeld this past Saturday in Ottawa. The seminar was hosted by Johnsons Taekwon Do hosted and conducted by TAO Technical Director Mr. Mike Morningstar. The seminar began with an intense warm-up followed by fundamental exercises,kicking drills, patterns, and step sparring. Saturday from 9am to 3:30pm was for yellow-stripe and above andwas thoroughly enjoyed by all. The seminar was well attended by over 30 students. Special thanks to Mr. Johnson and Mr. Hanna for your great work promoting the Original Taekwon-Do of General Choi Hong Hi in the Nations Capital.

Our Annual Technical Conference and AGM will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday January 17-19, 2014 in the beautiful city of St. John’s Newfoundland. The AGM will take place from 7-10pm on the Friday in the Confederation Board Room at the Sheraton St. John’s. Training will begin Saturday morning at 8:30am Sharp in the Salon “B” room of the Sheraton and will be conducted by the Technical Director of ITF-TAO. Sundays training will be conducted by Master Andrew K.H. Rhee and will be for 3rd Dan and above.
