On May 21, 2011 Ott’s Taekwon-do hosted Pizza-Bowl 2011.  The event raised $20,000 in only 10 weeks of preparation. The funds raised went to two organizations that help children in the area.   Proceeds from the event went to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and helped to sponsor a Disney Vacation for a child from the Philadelphia area.  The other portion of the funds went to an organization called Frankie’s Fight.  This group helps families who are battling childhood cancer by helping with their financial difficulties. (i.e. Paying their mortgage, utility bills and any transportation expenses they may incur.)

The event was a huge open air party that lasted from 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm and it included a D.J. and two live bands that donated their time to be there.  The weather was PERFECT from the time everyone arrived until the party was over and THEN it rained.  Karma. Do good and good things happen.  Preparations are already being made for Pizza-Bowl 2012.  Everyone’s invited!
