On the birthday of the Founder of Taekwon-Do, General Choi Hong Hi, Master Alejandro Chaviel conducted a Master Class at the John Paul II Auditorium. Those in attendance were the host School led by Boo-Sabum Peter Beecher, the OH Do Kwan School led by Boo-SabumNim Jorge Delgado and other invited schools in the region. After almost three hours of work, reviewing techniques, fundamental movements and patterns, we closed the first stage of the day with great expectations. A promotion test was also held. General thanks to all participants, assistant instructors and companions for the warm welcome. A new stage of work and commitment is projected for the future. We move forward!

New Master Promotions

On the occasion of the 1st FGMR Cup a promotion test was held and presided over by FGM Rhee Ki Ha, accompanied by Master Ken Hance and Master Rudy Johnson. Congratulations to new Sahyun-Nim’s Raul Alvarez (7th Dan) from Honduras, Alejandro David Chaviel (7th Dan) Argentina and Sabum-Nim Pierson Guttierez Solis from Nicaragua.

1st FGMR Cup

The 1st FGMR Cup was held on Saturday June 22nd and was attended by not only First Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha but also Canada, USA, Japan, Nicaragua, Argentina, Honduras, and South Africa. Three hundred and sixty competitions participated in both patterns and sparring events under the watchful eye of FGMR. Congratulations to those who attended this historic event.

New President elected

At the 2024 AGM, an election was held for ITF-TAO President and it was unanimously decide that Mr. Rick Winsor would assume the role as President. Mr. Winsor is one of the founding members of ITF-TAO and brings with him years of knowledge and experience in the operation and goals of ITF-TAO. We thank Master Johnson for his years of service and we wish him well in his new role as Senior Advisor.
