On Saturday October 25th, 240+ competitors from across the USA and Canada gathered in Philadelphia, PA for the “Battle for the Bell” tournament. All ages and belt levels descended on the “City of Brotherly Love” for what turned out to be a fantastic day of competition in the Honour of the Founder of Taekwon-Do. A special thanks to the host of this years event, Mr. Fran Ott and Mr. Sean Sutton for a job well done.

Nineteen Oakridge Taekwon-Do students from white belt to red belt recently attempted and were successful in their quest for new ranks. The test was conducted by ITF-TAO Technical Director Mr. Mike Morningstar and assisted by Oakridge Taekwon-Do Head Instructor Mrs. Cathy Hadubiak. Congratulations on your promotions and good work promoting Taekwon-Do in the City of London.

From October 10th to October 14th 2014 We are glad to inform you that the ITF-TAO Pakistan organized their annual Summer Camp and testing in Karachi, Pakistan The grading was presided over by President ITF-TAO PAKISTAN Mr. RANA SADAQAT ALI. Congratulations to all those who were successful in their quest for new ranks. Great work Mr.Rana Sadaqat Ali and Nazim Barket Ali in promoting ITF-TAO Taekwon-Do Karachi in PAKISTAN. It was a great event in which students from all over Pakistan participated.
In Total there were 490 Junior Students who prticipated in the Summer Camp. The great work of the official ITF-TAO Pakistani Members and their collaboration during all 4th days of Camp was thanked by the President of the all Pakistan Taekwondo Federation ITF-TAO Pakistan President Mr.Rana Sadaqat Ali and Nazim Barket Ali, It was a great successful Summer Camp and all of the winners were awarded certificates and belts with all ITF-TAO Students at the end of this Summer Camp. a Great thank you goes to all those who made this Summer Camp remarkable.

ITF-TAO welcomes Mr. Jeff Butt, IV dan, and his students at Terra Nova Taekwon-Do as our latest member. Operating in St. John's, Terra Nova Taekwon-Do is the second ITF-TAO member in Newfoundland, along with Cabot Taekwon-Do. Mr. Butt has supported our events and activities for many years as a student of long-time ITF-TAO member Cabot Taekwon-Do, under the direction of Mr. Rick Winsor, Vth dan. Terra Nova Taekwon-Do is a brand new school and is the only martial arts school in Newfoundland to operate in French. Congratulations to Mr. Butt and best wishes in helping Mr. Winsor spread the authentic and original Taekwon-Do of founder General Choi Hong Hi in Newfoundland."

It sadens us to announce the untimely loss of our friend & black belt Mr. Steve Ratz & his wife MH Lessard who suddenly died in a trageic motor vehicle accident Sunday September 28th. Mr. Ratz was a senior Black Belt at Millennium Taekwon-Do in Orangeville. Mr. Ratz will be sadley missed by all whose life he touched.

ITF-TAO would like to welcome 6th Dan Mr. Sergio Plaja and the students of Millennium Taekwon-Do as our latest member. Mr. Plaja brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience as well as Dojangs in Brampton and Orangeville. Mr Plaja and his students have supported ITF-TAO and our events over the years and is a fantastic edition to the group. We look forward to working with Mr. Plaja helping to keep the Taekwon-Do of the Founder Traditional, Authentic and Original.

On August 29th, ITF-TAO Serbia held their annual summer Gup testing in Belgrade. The grading was presided over by Cheif examiner and Technical Director for ITF-TAO Serbia Mr. Zoran Rajkovic. Congratulations to all those who were successful in their quest for new ranks. Great work Mr. Rajkovic in promoting Chang-Hun Taekwon-Do in Serbia.

Saturday, August 23rd 88 Dragons Martial Arts Academy held their first annual outdoor training, family BBQ and swim at beautiful Emerald Lake Trailer Park and Resort, Puslinch, Ontario. Students started off the day with a one hour training session followed by an inter- school tournament. Members competed in flying high kick, power breaking and patterns. Following the competition Master Alvey barbequed enough food to feed all students and parents. Once all were fed, students and their family members enjoyed a game of volley ball, swimming and splashing around the spring fed Water Park complete with inflatable water obstacle course.
Next year Mr Morningstar has agreed to join the event and lead a technical seminar. All TAO schools will be invited in an attempt to create one mass outdoor training session. Students will be encouraged to pitch a tent and spend the night to make the experience even more memorable.
