2025 Annual Technical Conference

ITF-TAO Canada was the host country for our 2025 Annual Technical Conference on January 25-26. As usual Mr. Windsor and his organising committee did a fantastic job hosting. A promotion test was also held after Saturdays training and was presided over by the TAO Promotion Committee. Keeping true to the teachings of the founder of Taekwon-Do, General Choi Hong Hi, the students and instructors were drilled on correct sine wave and the proper application of techniques. By the end of the 9 hour training everyone was exhausted but motivated in their efforts to keep Chang Hun Taekwon-Do alive in its purist form. Thank you to ITF-TAO Canada for hosting this year. We all look forward to the 2026 Technical Conference and AGM in San Miguel, Argentina.

New Dojang in Honduras

We are please to announce the addition of Sabum-Nim Fanny Mejia Perez and the students of Comayagua Taekwon-Do Center in Honduras to the ITF-TAO family. We would like to thank Master Raul Alvarez for his continued efforts in promoting the true teachings of General Choi Hong Hi in Central America under the banner of ITF-TAO.

Master Class in Uruguay

Honduras fares well at Central America Open

Six competitors from ITF-TAO Honduras under the guidance of Master Raul Alverez, participated in the 5th Central American Open in El Salvador. Congratulations to competitors for giving their all. Many thanks to Sabum-Nim Joaquín Rivas for his invitation and for hosting a fantastic event. As is usual, ITF-TAO Honduras is always working in a common brotherhood to further the Original TKD of the Founder.

Technical Director visits Pittsburgh, PA

ITF-TAO Technical Director visited Pittsburgh, PA on invitation from GM Robert Zang and Zang’s TKD. After an intense warm up Mr. Morningstar reviewed sine wave and covered the theory of power as well as kicking drills and colour belt and black belt patterns. In the evening the instructors and out of town guests gathered for a dinner.

ITF-TAO Canada

On Saturday November 16th, TAO Technical Director Mike Morningstar conducted a Technical Seminar at Kings Christian Collegiate in Oakville.

One Hundred Instructors and students from Oakville, London, Scarborough and Hamilton were in attendance. The seminar began with an intensive warm-up and moved right into basic movements, patterns, step sparring, model sparring, and self defence keeping true to the original teachings of General Choi Hong H. The training was 5 hours in length, the first 3 hours for yellow belt and above and the last 2 hours for black belts only.

On the birthday of the Founder of Taekwon-Do, General Choi Hong Hi, Master Alejandro Chaviel conducted a Master Class at the John Paul II Auditorium. Those in attendance were the host School led by Boo-Sabum Peter Beecher, the OH Do Kwan School led by Boo-SabumNim Jorge Delgado and other invited schools in the region. After almost three hours of work, reviewing techniques, fundamental movements and patterns, we closed the first stage of the day with great expectations. A promotion test was also held. General thanks to all participants, assistant instructors and companions for the warm welcome. A new stage of work and commitment is projected for the future. We move forward!
