Technical Seminar in Argentina

On Saturday May 26th, TAO Technical Director visited San Miguel, Argentina on invitation of ITF-TAO VP South America, Mr. Alejandro David Chaviel to conduct the 1st TAO Technical Seminar in South America. Over 230 participates of all levels attended.  The 5 hour seminar began with an intensive warm-up and moved right into basic movements, patterns and kicking drills. The last two hours of the seminar was for black belts only.  We look forward to the 2020 IIC in Argentina.

Technical Committee Appointment-Japan

6th Umpire Course Hosted in Canada

On Saturday, March 24th Cabot Taekwon-Do in Goulds, Newfoundland hosted the 6th ITF-TAO “A” and “B” Umpire Course conducted by Mr Rick Winsor, Umpire Director.  This was a 7 hour course which covered the many aspects of judging for sparring and patterns as well as the related regulations for tournaments. Students took part in exercises requiring the use of the signals to indicate warnings and fouls and practiced the procedure to follow during matches. Through practical interaction students were engaged and active throughout the course.  At the end of the day a test was written to help students identify areas they needed to become more familiar with.  According to feedback following the course, students felt it was an integral part of their training and they were pleased with the level of ability they gained from taking part.

TAO Welcomes Panama as New Member Country

ITF-TAO would like to welcome Mr. Francisco Xavier Martinez Alfaro and the students of Academy Taekwon-Do Jingui of Panama as our latest new member. Mr. Martinez is a certified 1st dan black belt and student of Mr. Jordan Hermidas, President of ITF-TAO Nicaragua. Join us in welcoming Panama as our latest new member country.

 

Philadelphia Hosts Technical Conference

January 29, 2019

On the weekend of January 27-28, sixty five black belt students, instructors and Masters from Canada, USA, Argentina, attended our Annual Technical Conference. During the Technical Conference all 24 patterns as well as 3 & 1-step sparring were covered. Keeping true to the teachings of the founder of Taekwon-Do, General Choi Hong Hi, the students and instructors were drilled on correct sine wave and the proper application of techniques. By the end of the 10 hour training everyone was exhausted but motivated in their efforts to keep Chang Hun Taekwon-Do alive in its purist form. Thank you to ITF-TAO United States for hosting this year.

1st Technical Seminar in Nepal

On Saturday December 29th, TAO Technical Director visited Kathmandu to conduct the 1st TAO Technical Seminar is Nepal. Over 350 participates of all levels attended.  The 4 hour seminar began with an intensive warm-up and moved right into basic movements, patterns and kicking drills. Thank you to ITF-TAO Nepal President Mr. Rup Singh Moktan for organizing this fantastic event.

Technical Director visits Hong Kong

TAO Technical Director, Mr. Mike Morningstar made a stop in Hong Kong on the way to Nepal, to meet and train with ITF-TAO Hong Kong instructors. A great addition to the TAO family.  Looking forward to future events in Hong Kong.
